This rod is capable of casting 1-5g lures and plastics over 75 meters with a calm wind. I already own the 7’ ultra light 1-3 kg and 7’3 2-5 kg estuary squidgie rods and was extremely impressed with the actions of both, but this rod at 7’9 1-4 kg with a savage gear sg8 2500 and 6lb braid casts the same weight lures as the ultra light but a lot lot further. Its now my absolute all time favourite trout setup that I’ve ever owned and used. Can’t recommend it enough and Freddy’s prices are the icing on the cake.
Delivery was slow for some reason. Had to send an email to find out where they were. Products very good.
Where has this kind of rod been my whole fishing career!? Ultralight but fast tip and long 7'9". Just brilliant for casting and working small lures on the flats!
Fantastic rod for my ultra light small soft plastic fishing . 1" soft plastics on 0.9 gram jig heads . Okuma Ceymar C 10 reel . WFT Gliss Monotex 0.10 mm 4 KG . Leaders of 0.12 - 0.18 mm . Great delivery time and excellently packaged , thanks a lot Freddys 👍❤
Looks the goods, haven't had opportunity to use but exactly what you would expect from Shimano, excellent finish & quality fittings - and as always arrived on time and undamaged from Freddy's
