Tracing its origins to Mebaru fishing the Gekkabijin rods have found a home amongst the finesse anglers of Australia. Affectionately known as the ‘Daiwa Crab Rod’ Gekkabijin MX was made famous by ABT’s Steve Morgan, who helped pioneer the use of longer rods for fishing the famous Cranka Crab lures.

This ultralight rod is a versatile weapon in the right hands. It has been designed to be highly sensitive and responsive, featuring a pure, high modulus carbon fibre blank and fully integrated Mega top carbon fibre tip. This allows you to consistently cast even the smallest lures easily and precisely.

Detailed Description

Fishing with lighter tackle and miniature lures around rocky shoreline, jetty’s and piers is a superb style of sport inspired by the Light Rock Fishing from Japan. It is a premium choice for the light lure enthusiast. The super slim construction and responsiveness is thanks to HVF High Volume Fibre and all models have a remarkably high level of finish with micro pitch, a customised Fuji TVS reel seat and Fuji K SIC T Frame guides. With a light tip and extra fast taper The Daiwa Gekkabijn rods are perfect for fishing for Bream and Whiting using Cranka Crabs and light weight plastics. The extra length and fast taper of these rods also lends itself well to topwater and flats fishing.
